Overview

The Student Account Manager, as part of HTC’s Student Services will oversee billing, collections, and account management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions for the high school and college divisions of HTC as well as delivering exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff. This position works within the finance team at HTC and Touro’s Bursar Office.  The position is also responsible for advising students and parents as to the process of applying for financial aid and scholarships, working closely with the HTC finance team and the Touro Office of Financial Aid.

Responsibilities

Includes but not limited to:

 

  • Counsel students and parents on tuition charges, payment plans available and completion of various forms for scholarships and financial aid
  • Support students and parents with their accounts and payments
  • Manage all student billing
  • Ensure accuracy of charges and collect student tuition and fees in a timely fashion
  • Follow up on outstanding tuition balances to ensure collections are made
  • Make necessary adjustments to student account
  • Review credit and debit reports, as necessary
  • Work with High School administration to ensure all high school parents are compliant with completing applicable forms and making required payments
  • Assist the HTC/Touro Financial Aid college departments in ensuring that students complete their required forms and are compliant with all Title IV requirements.
  • Work with Touro counterparts in the Bursar and Financial Aid Offices, as well as the Touro Helpdesk to address issues and resolve them.
  • Ensure that all payments are processed properly and accurately deposited in a timely manner.
  • Analyze accounts to ensure accuracy. Adjusts accounts as needed.

Qualifications

 Education, Preparation, and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting preferred
